What information we collect

Please do not send us sensitive information (such as health, religion or political views) unless a job application or shipment genuinely requires it.
How we use your information
- To answer your quote request, price the shipment and, if you go ahead, arrange the transport, customs clearance and delivery.
- To manage recruitment: reading applications, contacting candidates and keeping suitable candidates on file.
- To send our newsletter (news, new routes, service updates) to people who subscribed. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- To keep the website safe: when you send a quote request we keep a short-lived, scrambled (hashed) record of your IP address so we can limit repeated or automated submissions. It cannot be turned back into your address.
- To meet legal duties, such as customs, tax and record-keeping rules.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for automated decisions that significantly affect you.
Why we are allowed to use it
We rely on the following grounds under the Personal Data Protection Act, 2022 of Tanzania and other applicable law:
- Your consent, for example when you subscribe to the newsletter. You can withdraw it at any time.
- Taking steps at your request before a contract, and performing the contract, when you ask for a quote or book a shipment.
- Our legitimate interests, such as running recruitment, keeping the website secure and improving our service, where these do not override your rights.
- Legal obligations, such as customs and tax records.
Who we share it with
We share personal information only where it is needed, and only with:
- Service providers who help us run the website and email, such as our hosting and email providers.
- Transport and clearing partners, such as shipping lines, airlines, ports, border and customs authorities, and partner carriers, when we need them to move or clear your cargo.
- Professional advisers, such as accountants, lawyers and insurers.
- Authorities, when the law requires it.
These parties may only use the information for the purpose we gave it to them.
Sending information abroad
Moving cargo across borders means that shipment details often have to be shared with partners and authorities in other countries. Our website and email providers may also store data outside Tanzania. Where this happens we take reasonable steps to make sure your information stays protected, as the law requires.

How we protect it
We keep submitted forms and attachments on a server folder that is not reachable from the public website, check uploaded files, and limit who can read them. No system is perfectly secure, so please do not send information you would not want to risk, such as bank card or password details. If we ever suffer a breach that puts your rights at risk, we will tell you and the regulator as the law requires.
Your rights
You may ask us, free of charge, to:
- tell you what personal information we hold about you and give you a copy;
- correct information that is wrong or incomplete;
- delete your information, or restrict how we use it, where the law allows;
- stop using it for a purpose you object to, including newsletters;
- withdraw consent you gave earlier.
